I take it off, the soap and water make it slide around my finger, and I can’t imagine how terrible it would be for it to slip off and go down the drain! I also take it off for swimming, applying lotion, washing dishes, etc. I like wearing it as much as possible, but those care tips are very important, if one of your diamonds falls out you’ll be kicking yourself for not following those simple steps for caring for your ring.

I don’t currently have an engagement ring yet, but I’ve been wearing 14K-18K jewelry with a variety of different types of stones my entire life. Unless they get really lose I tend to wear my rings in the shower because I’m more afraid of leaving them on the counter and having them accidentally get knocked into the trash, toilet, or sink. I’ve never lost a stone, but maybe I’m just lucky. If anything, white gold jewelry just turns warmer faster due to the wear.

When I read the title I thought it was about if they cut your e ring off if you have to (god forbid ) go to the emergency room!

I don’t take mine off unless it is going right into my jewlwerybox. My fi is a rurally getting me a cheap stand in band. For when I have work so I don’t ruin it with bleach and chicken guts

I would take it off because soap/shampoo/etc. isn’t good for it, and that stuff is a b*tch to get out of the nooks and crannies.

I definitely take mine off. You don’t want it to get soapy and I am paranoid about it slipping off my finger somehow and going down the drain!
