I downloaded my invitation font online (can’t remember which site) but it was free.  It asked me where I wanted to put it, so I put it in my documents folder.  In order to use it, you’ll have to move or copy it to your computer’s fonts folder.  I did a search under control panel to find my folder then copied it into it.  Hope this helps!

@justvonne:  go to your downloads folder and you should see the folder of the front.  open it up and there should be a window with a button on the top that says “Install”    Once installed, close out of your program, reopen and the font will be in your dropdown menu.

You have to add the font to your font group before it is accessed like that.

If you have a mac you will open you downloads and click the font > it will bring up a window with a small button at the bottom right that says ‘install font’ > click that and it will add to your font group.

If you have a PC then you have to locate the font file in your downloads (keep open in an explorer window > then open up your control panel > click on the ‘Fonts’ icon > this will bring up where the fonts are stored > drag your new font from your downloads into this folder.

Once you have done this it will then be available in Word or other applications on your computer.

Or you can drag the font file into your computer’s Fonts folder. Go to the main drive (usually it’s the letter “C” drive in your “My Computer” folder) and go to Windows>Fonts (it has a folder with a little “A” next to it. Drag the file in there and it should automatically install.

You will need to close out of and word editing programs you are using before/during the install and restart them in order to see your new font.

Oh! And if you’re printing to PDF… do a test print and make sure the font shows up properly! Sometimes the free fonts don’t let you print ot PDF (but if you purchased it sure as hell should let you do that!)
