It’s normal. all the dye is going to the test line so there is very little for the control. Have you made an appt yet? They can do  a dating sonogram to give you an accurate date. Congrats!

It’s normal. I got my BFP when I was 6 weeks pregnant, and my test looked like yours. Congrats!

Like the others said, 100% normal. You’re so pregnant that the test is taking all the dye to put into the test line, rather than the control 🙂

Congrats! Happy & Healthy 9 months to you!

@Bee222:  Totally normal. My 24dpo BFP looked exactly the same! (I got my first bfp at 9dpo & took my last one at 24dpo) – I was out of the country during this time period & was super nervous about a m/c. Congrats to you!!!

150% normal – those are crazy impressive test lines! I’m surprised your 2nd line shows up at all 😉 Congrats, and yes, stop testing! You are totally pregnant.. 🙂 🙂

For frame of reference, here are my tests at 14 and 21DPO, I would have been 4-5 ish weeks along.

totally normal congratualtions! I took 5 tests before I really believed my BFP but really it’s there. =]

I also have irregular/long cycles, according to my LMP my due date was like Jan 5th…according to measurements at first U.S. which was at almost 12 weeks (even though we thought I was over 13 weeks at the time according to LMP)  my due date is actually Jan 24th…big difference.

Baby is still measuring for that due date so with irregular/long cycles it’s hard to know for sure until you see those measurements and even then due dates are just an idea not an exact science so don’t get to hung up on a due date. Also brace yourself for that first U.S. where you may find out your not as far along as you thought…it really really bummed me out when that happened. I didn’t like going back in time and knowing the baby wasn’t as developed as I thought she was. But it was all fine.

I see you mentioned being really worried about a miscarriage, I’ve been there, it started about 24hours after my BFP and the reality started to set in…the next thought was something could go wrong. I took another test before telling my immediate family, before telling friends ect. Well then all that extra discharge starts happening (totally normal..lots of it…) but I’m running to the bathroom thinking I’m bleeding all the time. Finding myself always expecting the worse even if things seem normal and God forbid there be and ache or pain that seems odd. It became a big problem for me…that got really out of control..

By about 17 weeks my blood pressure had gone way up and then I started having heart palpultations. Two OBs and an ER doc and no one could explain why everything seemed fine all my blood work ect was good, baby is healthy placenta working properly…finally my midwife hit the nail on the head…anxiety..and it actually took some counselling and some long talks with my midwife and my DH and a lot of crying and letting go of that fear. Guess what by 21 weeks heart palpulations gone, blood pressure excellent. I am feeling better than I’ve felt the entire pregnancy at almost 23 weeks now.

I had literally worried myself sick, I was hurting myself with worry. Don’t do that to yourself, it happened really slowly for me I didn’t even realize what was happening it just did. I didn’t even want to buy and baby items cause all I could think was what will I do if something happens. I was in a really dark place and didn’t know it. Trust that this is what your body was designed to do, trust that you are a safe vessel for your baby, and let yourself love your baby. I hope that wasn’t too much of a downer story but I have now met in person some other women who went through this same thing that I did and I just want to help as many women as I can not have to go through that place.

Good luck and congratulations.

Ha! Same thing happend to me when I took a frer 6 weeks pregnant, just because like you I  had the urge to see the test line get dark. The test like was dark, dark, dark but the control line barley visible! Mystery solved for me too.
