It’s not normal to be ovulating every other week. I think that part is obvious.  I don’t know if it’s even possible, because the follicles would need to grow to actually have ovulation occur, and I don’t think that can be done in a week.  Also, I don’t think with the hormones that are supposed to drop when you get AF that your body would be telling your brain fast enough for that to happen.

Have you taken another pregnancy test?  It’s possible to get positive ovulation tests if you are pregnant… The amount of bleeding would be concerning if you were and I would call a doctor asap.

The other possibility is that you could just be reading the tests wrong, some tests need the line to be DARKER than the control line and some just need to be AS dark. It makes sense that your period was heavier after missing one, and it’s possible for it to start and stop (it’s happened to me and my cycles are like clockwork only variation is how long AF sticks around)

Now, I don’t know what this means for you, if it means you are peri-menopausal or just having an odd cycle.  Could you have a difference problem like PCOS or endometriosis? Sometimes those are late to be diagnosed.

Best of luck!

Are you temping? That is probably going to be a better indicator to you of what is going on in your body. You’ll start to see the spike after ovulation and then the drop the day before your period. It may help shed some lightin what point in your cycle you are bleeding. Most women use the Opks in conjunction with temping.

I started temping after my miscarriage because my cycles were weird and all over the place. Now if my period is late, I can tell it was because I ovulated late, etc.
