hi, i apoligize if this is a silly question. my rsvp due date is early june so i will have to include the increased postage on the rsvp in my invites (being sent april). am i correct when i say that the sale of the increased postage wont happen until may 12th, meaning that either i will need to add on a .1 cent stamp with a regular stamp to my postcard rsvp OR use the forever stamp? i guess i just need to know if there is anyway for me to get my hands on an increase postage stamp before may 12th. i really wanted to use photostamps on my rsvps, but i dont think i can now…..

I was wondering the same thing. I am sending my invites out March 23rd and my replies are due April 23rd for our may 23rd wedding. You know that people never return on the due date and although may 12th is late to return I am sure I will get some stragglers. Not sure what to do myself. Send them with regular postage and if they are sent after May 12th oh well. I will have to follow up with phone calls to any non RSVPs or add postage.
JW I would find out if you can increase the amount of the picture stamp to what the new rate will be.

Hmm – I replied to this, but I’m not sure where it went.
I know you can buy one cent stamps now, but maybe not the new ones – which are the Tiffany Lamps I think. I’m not a fan of them, but if you look around I bet there are more then one style one centers. Byut yes, you’d have to up it if you think that they might be RSVPing in the time that the increase happens. I would to be safe anyway at that time.
I tried to return my postage because of this increase so I didn’t have to have stamps all over and they won’t even take stuff back anymore. Which is weird, I know they had a strict policy for returns (paper work, month wait for refund) but not taking stuff back anymore is just odd. Now I’m out $100 in stamps – lol. Oh well I can still use half.
Anyway – good luck:-)
