- Wedding: March 2014
Some necessary info first: We are getting married March 1st. We are inviting no more than 75 people. All family are coming from out of state. Currently the guest list of family is 66 people (all out of state). We want to do a 2nd round of invites once we get no’s so that we can invite more friends. We are doing online RSVP’s.
Here’s the question: when do we ask for people to RSVP if we want to do a 2nd round of invites? Originally I thought we would do 2/1 for a 3/1 wedding, but if we give people a week or so after the deadline that doesn’t leave much time to do our 2nd round for friends, but I’ve read that it should be 2 weeks before the wedding. Since everyone is coming from out of state they should know way before a month or even 2 months whether or not they will be coming. Would it be okay to ask for RSVP’s 2 months before?
PS Another issue that could come up for my friends is that everyone that I work with needs to ask off at least 3 weeks in advance to make sure that shifts get covered. It doesn’t do us any good to do a second round if no one can get the day off.
