Hey bees! I bought my dress in January 13′ already knowing I was planning to lose weight. Knowing this, the store/salesgirl told me that, as a “special treatment” type of service, that IF I end up losing a substantial enough amount of weight, to the point where alterations will be too drastic, that they would exchange the dress for me with no problem! So,with that, I figured, there’s nothing to lose and I might as well go for it! I am(ish)/was more than 100 lbs overweight. I ordered my dress in a 22, though at the time I was more like a 24/26. Well, fast forward to May, my dress came in, and it fit! (I had lost 30lbs). Fast forward to now, (10/5/13) I’m down another 30lbs.
I have the dress stored safely at my grandmothers house, I could easily try it on at any time. However, I keep stalling….I don’t know why. I feel like I wanna keep pushing till December/January to try it on, and then take it to a tailor…and go from there. I think I keep waiting because I really don’t know how much more weight,I have the ability to lose in the next 8 months, and I don’t want to start the alterations process/ordering another size too early, but, I don’t want to wait till the last minute, and (yikes) run out of time. Any other bees w/ similar experience? (I’m losing weight w/ weight watchers, and excercise…, so the estimation of how much more Ill lose is completely based on my effort in the upcoming months…no miracle pills, or surgeries I’ve done…so, I dunno.) thanks all in advance!
