Mine did because my husband wanted his best man and groomsmen to be up at the altar already.
It is your wedding, she can walk whenever and with whoever you want. If you'd like her to walk by herself, then that's just fine :)
We had her walk out with the best man. They were second to last in the processional, with me and my husband last.
At her wedding, I was maid of honor and I also walked in with the best man. She had her husband and the officiant (a friend) standing at the altar already with all the groomsmen walking in with the bridsmaids.
You can do it however you want, to be honest. I think people are fairly split on the groomsmen at the altar vs. groomsmen in the processional issue. I've only seen the latter, iirc, but my friends are not the most traditional group of people.
