My FI has done the shred and he liked it! Ask him to do it with you once to see if he likes it, and if not, you can always find something else!
we've done the shred workout together twice. he seems to like it because it's short (level 1 is about 25 minutes) and you don't spend too long doing any one thing. i used to take more traditional aerobics and step classes, and while i can *never* imagine my guy doing those, shred is a lot of strength/calisthenic moves, and cardio (jumping jacks, jumprope, other things i can't remember).
also--i rented it on netflix because i wasn't sure whether i was going to like it. it's a good way to try it out.
My fi does it all the time. He was reluctant at first, but now swears by it! We do it together or solo. We are on Level 3, but sometimes we do multiple levels in one session for an added work out.
My FI has tried it once or twice but he doesn't like Jillian. I don't blame him.
Thanks for the responses, ladies!! And Miss Pug, thanks for the Netflix idea! We just got Netflix and I didn't even think to look at exercise videos :)
Speaking of which - has anyone tried Jillian's Yoga Melt Down? (Just saw that on Netflix...) I'm intrigued!

He's only done it with me once, but I have a friend who does it with her husband daily! They love it!
@sage - level 1 of the yoga meltdown is done and I am sweating like a pig! It def was a workout. I would suggest watching it through first because at times I had to stop and watch so I could figure out what was going on/what to do. But otherwise, it was pretty decent. It's not a traditional yoga workout though, lots of moving in the poses and whatnot. It reminds me of a power yoga class I took a few years ago but more intense and with more movement.
@sage - WB definitely has all the answers it seems - love it!
As for the Shred and videos in general, the fiance isn't feeling it. when we can, we go to the gym together but that's when our schedules align
I downloaded it via iTunes... I was actually really excited to start it but then I got sick... and I haven been in bed for days.
I couldn't see my FI doing a video like that. I would love to get him to do pilates with me... i'm still working on that one.

I know a lot of you girls do Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred - but do any of your FIs/husbands/SOs do it with you? I'm trying to work up to some kind of workout routine, and my FI wants to work out with me as well. I keep hearing all this great stuff about the Shred, but I can't really imagine him doing that!
I guess if nothing else, I can do it while he's on the elliptical. LOL :)
