It’s your body, so do what makes you happy. Just think long and hard if you get the itch for a thigh tattoo. You will seriously regret that shit when you’re in your 40s. Don’t ask me how I know this. πŸ™‚

I think as long as you have it placed in the same spot that those ladies do, it won’t be too much. If you wanted one closer to your hip, I might say otherwise, but the ones in the picture are high enough that I think it will look fine.

I like it πŸ™‚ I also love ribcage tattoos so I say it’s cute!

@Brickette:  Honestly, I think those quotes are a little played out. Also, rib tatts really hurt.

To answer your poll question, I don’t think it’s too much to get both rib and lower back tattoos.

@somethingaquamarine:  Agreed that those quotes are played. And kind of long. Sometimes less is more.

    But the placement is fine.

@Brickette:  Well, that’s the best reason to get a tattoo! I like the placement (even though it HURTS) and I like that it’s meaningful to you.

Are you using those quotes? If your looking for inspiration I would look at e.e. cummings, some of his stuff is overused and generic. However a lot of it is beautiful. It’s what I would use for my tattoo.

It’s your body. Just try to make sure that both tattoos are something you will want to see on yourself for the rest of your life.

@harperlynn:  I have no plans to ever get a tattoo (I don’t like needles or the permanence of them), but if I did, I think I would use a line or two from e.e. cummings. Absolutely my favorite poet!

@LadyBear:  I have toyed with the idea for a long time but mostly decided not too, but I agree if I was going to it would be e.e. cummings! He is so amazing πŸ™‚ I’m glad a fellow bee appreciates his work as well!

PS. Now I totally want to use some of his quotes in my wedding stuff!! AHH inspiration! Love it.

@harperlynn:  We used one of his poems as one of our readings!

@Brickette:  Did you end up getting a tat?? I’m a tat lover and have one on my ribcage down to my hip so I’m all curious if you ended up getting one! And yeah, 3 hours of hurting like a MF!
