I found an article that possible could help?
However, it is a little dated but it may give you some idea!

I am planning on doing tall only baby's breath centerpieces, too, so if anyone has done them please post how much you needed for each one!
I went to the craft store earlier and played in the flowers. Now instead of baby's breath I'm thinking one of the following: silver dollar branches, white chinese lanterns if I can find them, or Texas tallow berries.
What do you think?
I like the alternative as well. I think with the baby's breath to make it full you would need about 5 bunches. I definitely would do a mockup before hand.
I like the silverdollar branches- I think the translucent quality will look really nice with candles and lights shining on them.
I think I'm going to do the silver dollars. I was playing with them at JoAnn's today and I like how they look in the tall skinny vases. Thanks ladies.
ooohhhh I really like the silver dollar ones... I never would have thought of them, but I think they may work out perfect for me =) Thanks for the great ideas!
@clemster: No problem! Glad you like them too. What made me like them over the baby's breath is that I've found both artificial and dried natural ones, both of which look nice and I can put them together months in advance.

I'm only having 18 tables, 6 will have candle centerpieces so actually 12 flower tables. I was wondering if anyone had made the tall baby's breath arrangements before? And, if so, how much baby's breath did you need/use? I only need to do 6 tables with those and the other 6 will be sweet peas and football mums or dahlias (mums are cheaper, I'm more familiar with dahlias). I'm trying to cut costs and the florist hasn't given me an estimate on the baby's breath centerpieces yet.
