I think it took three or four weeks for us to get our marriage license back. We got married in Florida.
We pre-ordered 5 certified copies, so that we'd have enough for all of the paperwork that we'd have to do and still have some extras left over.

We have been married 3 weeks on Saturday and we dont have our marriage license back yet. It might be a little delayed though because they couldnt read our officiants signature so just a few days ago I had to tell them his name and spell it out for them.
It took us two weeks from our wedding date. So a week after we got back from our week-long honeymoon, we had our license.
I was like you, SO ready to get the name changing under way. That two weeks felt like forever :)

I got married in South Carolina and they were able to give us our certified copy on the spot (well, actually my mom. I was already on my honeymoon). So, as soon as I was back and got everything from the Social Security office, I was able to get my new license.
I applied for my new SS Card the day after I got back from my honeymoon. It took about a week to two weeks to get it in the mail. I went the next day to get my new DL. I got just about everything done in my first month of being married.
Just a thought - I'd been told that they would send me a certified copy once everything was processed but at a month out I hadn't received anything yet. I called the marriage license office and they said I had to order and pay for ALL copies and we did not automatically get one (love it when people from the SAME office give me different info). So if you haven't explicitly ordered one, you may want to call and check that out.
After I ordered and paid for mine, it took about a week to get them in the mail.
After the honeymoon I actually just went in to the office of deeds and picked my official copy up rather than order it and wait on it.
My pastor sent in all the paper work and we got our marriage licence about 3 weeks later....we live in Canada.
we orderded 3 copies of our official license here in North Carolina and I think it took about 2 weeks. Turns out we only needed 1! We got all the official copies back so there was no need to waste $60!
Actually, we got it in the mail yesterday, so I di all my name changing today! lol.

I was just wondering how long it was before you got your official copy of the license? I'd like to get this name change show on the road, but it appears it might be awhile before I get my paperwork.
