@SeaSalt:  We are putting several photos from the wedding, framed on a shelf in our bedroom, a mix of our portraits and wedding detail shots. We’ll have one 8 x 10 photo of our immediate families from the wedding on the mantle in our living room.

We are in the process of framing our pictures, but when we’re done we’ll have a gallery of 8 and our invitation in the living room and a 16×20 canvas in our bedroom. Other than that each parent is getting a small album and an 8×10 of their chosing.

All of our pictures around our home are of ourselves.  We joke about it all the time, because we didn’t realize it until recently.  But we really really don’t have high opinions of ourselves, I swear!

We have two 11×14 weddings portraits in our living room.

We have multiple photos of ourselves – not all wedding photos, but several framed photos of us. They’re “family photos.” After all, your mom or parents had photos of them and you guys growing up, right? Well why wouldn’t you have photos of YOUR family?

To me, ostentatious is giving other people photos of you. lol. (Like people who give thier wedding photos as presents to other people. Lol yes, I’ve seen this.)

@SeaSalt:  One. I think early in our marriage we had two on display, but now photos of our  kids take pride of place. I get that people want reminders of their weddings, but lots of wedding photos on display just isn’t for me. When I want to look, I get out the wedding album or video.

Quite a few people I know have more than one large wedding photo on display though.

We have 4 mixed in with everything else on our gallery wall. The only picture I had made really big was one of our dogs from our engagement shoot, lol.

@Mrs.LemonDrop:  We gave framed wedding pictures to our parents as Christmas presents after our wedding.  I didn’t see anything wrong with it…i thought that was normal!

We have one picture displayed and it just the average photo frame size. It is in our study which is a place that guests vary rarely go.

I am with you OP. Whenever I enter another persons home and it is has multiple (more than 3) photos of their wedding displayed I personally think it is OTT and ostentatious. But I feel the same way about displaying photos of your kids (especially baby pics) and things like awards/trophies. To me it just screams look at us and how great we are.

None yet (I’m kind of slacking). We plan to have one or two framed pics and two or three canvases. I want to have the canvas display in the bedroom.
