How many times a week do you see each other?  Do you guys usually spend all of Friday night through Sunday night together?  If so, do you usually see each other at all earlier in the week too?  Just curious...

When we lived 30 min apart, I was in college, so we only saw each other Friday-Sunday morning. I busted my butt BIG TIME during the week so I could blow off every single glorious weekend. Engineering students don't get a lot of blow off time! It was incredibly exhausting. Sometimes we'd skip the weekend if i had, say, a sorority volunteer event all day Saturday which only happened a couple times.

Once or twice he drove up and had dinner with me on a Wedn night....but i was so busy studying it wasn't often possible and there was no halfway mark for us =(

How busy is your week? It's really hard to just spend all Friday night-Sunday night together. Things like laundry, grocery shopping, errands, etc still need to get done....

my FI and I live just over an hour apart right now, and have for the last 2 years and will until our wedding in September because of our work situations.  We are on the Friday night to Sunday night plan and while it is really great to be able to spend weekends together (we know a few couples who aren't even that fortunate) it still really stinks to have to cram our together time into two and a half days each week - along with hanging out with our friends, laundry, house cleaning, errands etc etc.  Plus its lousy to have to say goodbye at the end of each weekend.  We will occasionally get together during the week, but it has to be for a pretty special occasion, because its just not feasible to make the drive (for either one of us) for just an hour or two together (we'd be spending equal or double that time in the car).

Anyway, that's my experience.  We can't wait to move in together!
