    @MissSweetiepie:  I dont have one but if I did, I would wear it point up. Otherwise it looks like a (sad) teardrop!!

    I think it all comes down to personal preference! If I were to have one i’d wear it with the point facing away from me. That’s how I see it most commonly.

    I have one, and I switch it up. Lol. Sometimes I like it better point down, and other times point up. Its kind of fun being able to change the entire look of it by just turning it around! =)

    Sorry… but which way is up and which way is down? Is up pointing at your fingernail or at your wrist? I was just wondering this myself yesterday, thanks for posting!

    I would wear it with the point facing the nail if I had one. It looks strange to me if the point is facing the other way.

    @MissSweetiepie:  In the late 1980s-early 1990s, when many of my friends were becoming engaged and marrying, I really wanted a pear-shaped stone. I had seen friends wear their pear-shaped diamonds with the point facing down (toward their wrists), and I loved this look.  However, I remember the day I found out that the point is actually supposed to face away from the person wearing the stone, and, at the time, I was so upset to discover this.

    Over the years, I’ve become accustomed to seeing pear stones with the point facing up, out, and away from the person wearing the stone, and I now much prefer seeing the stone this way. When I see someone whose pear-shaped stone faces toward her now, the ring looks upside down to me.

     Heres a pic of it either way. The only downside to having the point toward my knuckle is I always scratch my.husband with it on accident haha. So he’ll turn it around if im wearing it that way.

    I’m pretty sure you’re supposed to wear pears with the point facing your knuckle so that when people see your ring, it’s the right way for them. Personally, I would wear it with the point facing my nail as I prefer it like that.

    @MissSweetiepie:  Thank you Ma’am!

    I think pointing up toward the fingernail elongated the fingers. Otherway around stumpifies them 😛
