I got mine on a flyer from the store last weekend when I was there buying some glue. You could probably find the coupon in the paper. I know they typically have ads in the Sunday paper.
Sign up online - they send you coupons every week! And you can print off as many as you want - you just have to use them in different transactions. Also, everytime you make a purchase at Michael's, they give you a new coupon - either 40% or 50% off! (I love that place!) :)
ahh, online, DUH. Probably should have checked there first. But I had to check in with the guru's of DIY.
Thanks ladies!
Yep, Sunday paper! And when you make a purchase, your receipt gives you another coupon! If you buy more than one thing, you have to do separate transactions, which yes, can be annoying, but hey you're getting a good discount!
Also, Michaels will accept Jo-Ann Fabrics' coupons as well! Take those in with you too!!!!
I always have pretty good luck just googling "Michael's Coupon." Usually sites like retailmenot or dealsplus will have something. Maybe it's just me, but I don't always get emailed every coupon. Searching for them lets me make sure I'm not missing any good deals before I head to the store!
Also, the Michaels near me takes competitor coupons. Call yours to make sure they do the same and then bring along all your JoAnns and other craft store coupons! woo hoo!

I have question for all of you fabulous DIY bees out there because I am sadly NOT one of you! Where do I find me one of those 50% off coupons from Michaels? Are they valid all the time? I know a Bee mentioned that she and her mom and her sister all used them on the same day -- is that cool with them? I am looking to buy a bunch of chalkboards (I'd also be willing to get them elsewhere if you guys think there is a cheaper place to buy them!!) and I have the time to get them piece by piece, just was wondering how it all works ... thanks in advance!
