Dyeable shoes are usually made from satin or silk, but they have to have a special coating on them. You should probably call their customer service number and ask them if their shoes are dyeable just to be safe.
I did and she said they can't guarentee the effectiveness of the dyeing process. Maybe I just like the shoes too much to accept it? I really need pea green/moss shoes!
I would definitely look for a dyeable shoe - I think most satin shoes that are not specifically dyeable have a special layer on top - something about the fabric just won't absorb more color.
has a good selection of dyeable shoes, payless has them too I think! Good luck.
They have a large array of dyeable shoes on Zappos.com. That's where I got my dyable wedding shoes that the bridal store owner helped to dye for $10.

Hello,
I have found some beautiful white/ivory simple satin shoes made by Nina. I really want to dye them green (a color from my bridemaids dress). What kind of shoe fabric can you dye?
I don't want to buy these shoes and send them away only to look terrible because they can't hold the dye. I know there are millions of dyeable shoes out there but I just don't like any of them.
Fill me in with any experience or advice you have! Thanks!!
