hmmm i dont have advice if its rude or not but i think its a good idea
We just did a little note - basically the same we would have done had we not included an STD magnet.
I'd just include a little hand written note. its an extra surprise for the holidays for sure!
I am sending my STD's seperate from my Christmas cards.. but for those who I am not sending a Christmas card to, I'll probably do the same thing, add a sticky. I am also going to paper clip the magnets in, so that peopel realize they are supposed to put them on the STD and not just throw it away.
I'm actually sending STDs in lieu of holiday cards - I don't know what the ettiquette says regarding it but I've seen it done in the past and liked the idea.

I have a question for those that are sending Save The Dates with your holiday cards. Are you just putting them in a holiday card with a little note, "Hope you are having a great holiday, just wanted to ask you to save the date for ....."? Or are you writing a letter?
Our Save the dates are magnets, I just wanted to put a tiny note with the magnet and that is it. Is that rude?
