There isn’t a wedding website to lookup details. I will be attending a friends wedding ceremony at 2pm at a prophecy church. Reception is at 4pm in the same place (the church). Can anyone tell me how long a prophecy ceremony usually lasts? So I know whether the ceremony will end roughly around the time the reception starts or if I’ll have a gap (and have to figure out how to occupy my time). I don’t live in the town the wedding is being held.
I don’t have much knowledge about this religious church so I apologize. Any information is appreciated!!

I don’t know what a prophecy church is, but can you not just ask your friend who is getting married how long her ceremony will be? And probably if there’s time between ceremony and reception, something will be provided between them given that they’re in the place. It would seem strange to expect people to go away and come back.

Not sure what prophecy church is. Quick googling suggests a branch of “church of God” which is similar to Pentecostal. But regardless of denomination, it probably depends on whether they choose to have a full sermon or not – that is usually optional for most churches in my experience. If they do, then I’d plan for the length of an average church service – so hour to an hour and 15 minutes usually. Or just ask. “Friend, I’m not very familiar with this denomination- what are the ceremonies like?”
If the reception consists of a meal, they could be having a “cocktail” hour between since its all in the same location. And I hate gaps, but even if the ceremony is shorter that isn’t a long enough one that I’d do any more planning to keep myself occupied than put my kindle and a granola bar in my purse and park myself on the nearest bench.
