They have sales alllllllllll the time. There’s a chance it could be cheaper another time. Their sales and prices go up and down, up and down. As long as its not a clearance gown, you probably have time to wait and see.

They do have sales often, but like LeonardLady said, make sure it’s not clearance! Nothing wrong with waiting, but don’t wait TOO long. 🙂

They typically do big sales in july and january and they are usually pretty good on letting yoy know 🙂

I dont think a year is too soon for your dress. By the time it comes in and alterations etc…

SgrPlum12:  If you love it and you know it’s the one, I think you should get it now just in case your size goes out of stock later on.  I bought mine on sale there in February and it went back to regular price shortly afterwards.  It’s currently on sale again now but since I don’t check the price on my dress frequently, I don’t know if it was ever on sale between that time and now.

As far as I know, they only offer returns for online purchases only.  You can only do exchanges in the store and it must be for something that is the same price or higher.  I had bought a slip along with my dress that I ended up not liking, but thankfully my flower girl needed a dress so I exchanged it for that.

SgrPlum12:  Yeah. They have sales ALL the time. There are models that they keep in stock for a longer time than others. Which one is it? I was a long time lurker of David’s until I got my dress, maybe I can tell you if it’s been there for a long time 😉

They have sales allllllll the time!  A dear friend of mine made the mistake of rushing to purchase a gown there because of one of their so called sales.  I would be wary of that place.  I experienced nightmarish treatment as a bridesmaid, and have decided that the only reason I would purchase from there again was if I was walking out the door with a gown that fit that I could wear in the next month…

SgrPlum12:  If you aren’t sure of what your size will be, then wait. I ordered mine from them too small, but I know for a fact how much I need to lose and that I can do it ( done it before ).

SgrPlum12:  I forgot to add I purchased mine in march 2014, my wedding is sept 2015. So a year and a half. I was afraid that I’d find a “better” dress between then & the wedding but so far I haven’t!!! When you know, you know.

But better too big than too small. Is it a corset back? That will give you some wiggle room, but not 3 sizes.

I just bought mine yesterday! Its a new Oleg Cassini. I also did the 25% down. It was just easier being my wedding is August 2015.

A had a corset back put in mine.  They told me a corset back can go two sizes up or two sizes down.  Additionally, most dresses can also be alterd up or down a size or two.  Tell them your sizing concerns and ask them if your dress can be altered if needed.

From experience –

1. I bought my dress a year + early but ended up gaining a ton of wieght due to injuries/medications.  I was so upset because it no longer fit (not even close like 2 sizes didnt fit) and they had discontinued the larger sizes!

I had the corset back put in and she let it out a little bit and it fits beautifully!!

2. My friend got a dress but when it came time for her first fitting, she had lost so much weight they couldnt alter the dress (not a corset back dress a side zipper dress) so they just reordered it for her in a smaller size for no additional charge.

So they can work some with sizing if you gain/lose weight.

ps – your dress is beautifu!
