@missclover:  I would turn the tables & ask that you answer the questions that are most important to you & your fiance.  For example, where would YOU like to go & why?  (e.g., what is it about the South Pacific that appeals to you & your fiance?)  What kinds of activities would YOU like to do (i.e., are you looking to do a lot of different excursions/tours/activities outside of a hotel or resort OR does the idea of simply vegging on a beach to recouperate from post-wedding stress sound appealing)?  There are, obviously, more questions that would have to be answered.  Luckily, there are many destinations that fit the bill, whether they are halfway around the globe or maybe even someplace closer to home.  It's all up to you!

My husband and I went for our honeymoon last July.  Yes, it was pricy, but we knew we would be having babies soon (i am now 5 1/2 months pregnant!) and we would probably not have another opportunity to take a trip like this in a very long time (if ever).

Which island/islands did you visit? We went to Moorea and Bora Bora

Where did you stay? In Moorea we stayed in a garden bungalow at the Hilton Moorea.  In Bora Bora we stayed at the Pearl Beach Resort and Spa in an over water bungalow.

How long were you there for?  Moorea for 3 nights, Bora Bora for 4 nights

How much did you spend? I am not 100% sure on the exact number but I would say all together it was probably in the $10,000 range.  We booked our airfare/hotel through costco and that was around $7,500.  Our hotels also included breakfast, which I would HIGHLY recommend!  Dinner for 2 each night was $100+, we rented a car for 1 day to drive around Moorea.  We did a boat/snorkel trip on each island.  We did a jeep tour in Bora Bora.  We had massage at each resort.  It was a wonderfully romantic honeymoon and, in my opinion, worth the money!  Even though both hotels were fully booked while we were there, it still felt very private.
