Yep look for the property and casualty, that’s what gives you the license to sell car and home insurance, general liability for businesses, bonds etc.

Ditto. I worked as a commercial lines manager in an insurance office (more customer service than selling) for about a year and a half. To my surprise, I really liked it. if you can memorize, you can pass the tests, and insurance offices hire fairly often. You don’t have to strike out on your own. If you have the licensing however, that will be a big bonus because then they won’t have to train you while wondering if you’ll fail and have to be fired.  Besides, there are more jobs than just selling that are needed and require the licensing, training, etc. just in case selling isn’t your thing.

Pearson does the property/casualty license testing and Kaplan has a great study course (book plus lots of online practice tests).  You don’t have to be affiliated with a company to get licensed, btw.  I did it a couple weeks before my job officially started And it made life minch easier.
