So we changed our menu plans today and I really need to get the RSVP cards reordered tonight. I am including brief descriptions of the meal choices, but the chef determines the vegetarian option 10 days before the wedding based on what is locally available. How should I word that?
A-Chef’s choice based on what is locally available
B-Chef’s creation to be determined by locally available produce
C-A locally grown seasonal specialty
EDIT: It will be listed as vegetarian, I just needed advice on what would description would follow.

- Wedding: January 2013 - Harbourfront Grand Hall
Or you could simply put “Chef’s Choice” but I voted for C 🙂

- Wedding: July 2012 - The Gables Inn, Santa Rosa, CA
Chef’s creation based on locally grown seasonal produce

I think C sounds best!
p.s. And thank you for having a tasty veggie option for people like me 😀

To me chef’s choice sounds like he’s putting together leftovers or odds and ends from the kitchen rather than creating something fresh from what’s in season.

either C or ” vegetarian delight”
that leaves it open to whatever veggie dish there is- hint from my Fi who is a chef

Our veggie option has been getting a LOT of love my non-veggies. I’m so glad we incuded it on our RSVP card instead of just asking the veggies on a case-by-case basis.

I would include something about it beging a Vegetarian option. Maybe “A locally grown vegetarian specialty”

@JrzyGurl: It will be set up as __Vegetarian: A locally grown seasonal specialty

I don’t think any of them make it clear that it’s vegetarian…

@cant.wait.to.be.mrs.d: Perfect! That’s by far the most clear, and appetizing phrasing
