Two days ago I bought a couple of sweaters from Express. Literally the very next day I got a coupon through email for $25 off a $100 purchase. Can I go back to the store to return the sweaters and repurchase with the coupon? Is that allowed?

I just depends on their policy; I don’t know about Express. Most stores will just adjust the price for you if there’s a sale within so many days of the purchase.

Were the couple of sweaters $100?? I would return them and go to Old Navy!

No. They will tell you the coupons policy says not valid on previous purchase. if you really want to use it. you may have to make two trips, one to buy your items again with the coupon, and one to return them with your original receipt.

just take the coupon and the reciept with you to Express. Give them the coupon and the reciept and have them take the money off of your reciept. If they won’t do it, return the sweaters, and bring your business else where, and hand the reciept to the first mom you see as you’re leaving.

You should be able to just do a price adjustment with the receipt and coupon at the store. No need to bring the stuff in with you 🙂

@Mrs. Honeybee: You will probably have to return the sweaters, come back an hour later (or go to a different store), and repurchase the sweaters.

You can return them, then just buy the same ones again. If you really want to play it safe, leave for an hour or two, and then get in the line for a different cashier than the one that processed your return.

It depends on the store. Some places you can just bring in your receipt and they will refund the difference. Express can be picky about those coupons though, so you may need to make the two trips.
