How many stores should you register at? I feel like 2 is the most appropriate, but I just found out Ikea does a registry and we would love to register there for a few things as well, but we don’t want to come off as “greedy.” And seriously, if we’re better off only registering at 2 places we could always just use any cash we get to go buy the things we want from Ikea (to complete a few furniture sets we already have – like end tables, etc).
So, what are your thoughts?

OMG! Fiance & i said at the beginning how we wished we could register at ikea, we didn’t think they had a registry! that’s awesome=) i think if you have 2 already, and you want to add ikea as the 3rd, it wouldn’t be a big deal at all. i think 4 is a little much, but 3 seems normal enough.

@MrsE.ToBe : Not all of them do. I just know the Pittsburgh one does:

I actually think three would be ok. It gives your guest some opinions as to where to shop. And I wish we had a IKEA here but the closest one is three hours away.

I registered at 3 because I wanted to make sure that all the basics were covered and everyone has atleast 1 of the 3 stores near them (I live in a very rural area). I think more than that is too many, but my sister got married in St. Paul and registered at like 10 stores. She got doubles on a lot of things and returned the extras for gift cards or cash to get the things she wanted that she didn’t get. But I think 3 is plenty. I’m also jealous. I don’t have an IKEA 🙁

Ahh, we have 2 and that was a stretch for us (shopping does not interest Fiance at all, even with control of the scan gun), but if our IKEA has a registry option he’s gonna have to suck it up and go anyway. I love IKEA!!

I think two or three is good. We did Macy’s, Bed, Bath & Beyond & Target. I just think it gives your guests alot of guidance. I’m havings so much fun tweaking them…Fiance is not into as much as me.
