@armychica06: Aww thanks so much! And I just have to say that you were INCREDIBLY helpful/supportive during this whole process, and I truly appreciate it! At this point I no longer have waiting anxiety knowing that he's gotten his act together and it's only a few weeks until everything happens. I'll be posting soon!

@Shirinjoon: I've been a lurker until just recently, but just today I started going back in the Waiting boards to find your name and see what has been going on. I was out of the country and I just needed to know how things were going on your end!
I'm so glad to hear things are going smoothly, and while I'm not yet engaged, I would just say breathe lightly and enjoy the next few weeks both before and after all the hoopla. You'll only get this time once, so cherish it (especially now that that weight is off your shoulders). Enjoy your partner and have fun!

For those of you ladies following my waiting story, here's a little update! SO's parents have finally returned to the US (after many months abroad)! His parents will be calling mine shortly to arrange the meeting (which is basically when he will be asking for my hand since that's the Iranian tradition). The meeting will likely take place end of July/1st week of August (at the latest) given my parents' crazy schedules. To say that I'm ecastatic/incredibly relieved is a MAJOR understatement since up to this point I was on pins and needles. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders and I can finally breathe easy knowing that in the next few weeks everything will be coming together.
I just want to tell you all how grateful I am for your support all this time. You've all helped me immensely since I believe that if I didn't have your advice things would be going at a much slower pace for us at this point. I'll keep you all posted!
