IF my fiance and i are able to go on a honeymoon it is going to need to be a 3 day, 2 night event. It’s less about financial means and more about sheer timing- he is active duty military and I am limited on my paid time off with my semi-new job.
We’re getting married in Washington, D.C and I wanted to see if anyone had some great recommendations for a quick but unforgettable honeymoon on the East Coast. I’m afraid that if we don’t have a honeymoon immediately following the event, no matter how short, we never will and I’m desperate to have that experience. First world problems, I know.

I went on a vacation one time to St. Simon Island just off Georgia. It was beautiful and since it was on an island it was like being on a tropical trip. There were condos right on the beach and little touristy shops… could be fun. They still had things like kayaking and bike riding too. Could be fun… something to look into.

I love visiting Frederick, MD. It’s a beautiful, quaint little place and just the right size for a quick getaway. The Inner Harbor and Fells Point are always worth a visit. If you like wine, there are any number of wineries in NOVA; you could get a hotel and winery hop for a few days. Some offer live entertainment, which is really nice.
