I absolutely love buying baby gifts for when my friends are expecting… love it! I tend to go all cutesy and such.
Now, my one girlfriend is expecting soon and I’d like to send her something… Thing is, this is a woman who is anything but the cutesy type and she’s quite quirky and she and her husband definitely have their own style, which is awesome.
So… my question is, what the heck do I send them? And when I say affordable, I mean the $25-30 dollar range. Thanks!

One of my favorite unusual gifts we got is a monster hooded towel. We use it ALL the time and it is so cute, but not in a *cutesy* way
There’s an etsy shop that sells them here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/Yikestwins
It makes me smile every time we use it!

They have really cute “swipers” that we gifted to friends – they weren’t sure about them at first (before baby) but they were super useful with little one, and adorable, too!

@mrs_pudding_pop: Get her a teething necklace, they are so cute and functional! It’s a cute necklace made of silicone beads that baby can chew on or play with when she’s holding them. I got one for my shower and I love it!
