Hello All! I recently received a beautiful split shank halo ring from Quorri and I am now in the middle of designing a matching band but I hit a snag. I want the band to sit flush with the ring but can still be worn on its own without looking odd. With this specific design it is not possible to go with a straight band and still sit flush. The only way to go fully flush is with a curved (or what they call a shadow band). Only problem is, we dont think it will look right when worn on its own. I have read comments and reviews on these shadow bands and most simply leave them with the ring and dont wear them by themselves. Anyone have a shadow band, and if so, how do you like that look. I have added my ring photo so you can have a better look at what I am talking about, and of course for you to have a look at this beauty 🙂

JoeyF1970: If you want it to sit flush, you will unfortunately have to go with a curved band. If you can live with a gap you could go straight. I have a wrap, which is two curved bands on either side and I love it. I also have a plain carved gold band to wear when I feel like wearing only a band.

Straight! I can’t stand the way curved bands look, but that’s just me. When I see them I cringe. Not a fan… But again, that’s just me

Thanks for the feedback. We ended up going with a straight band so it wouldn’t look so odd on its own. It will not sit fully flush, but I think she will be okay with it.
The side profile was one of the selling fetures of the ring. It looks almost like flower petals and really beautiful. We are both impressed by the ring.
