I’m writing this post to the rest of you Sept. brides to ease your fears! This is my first post since returning from the honeymoon and really want to spread the word that even the “worst” will turn out amazing on your wedding day!
The whole day of the wedding it was absolutely gorgeous out, sunny, pretty light white clouds, and bluest of skies. Literally 5 min before the ceremony was to start it began pouring down rain! All the guests had to open their umbrellas or run to their cars. It cleared up, we were almost ready to go then… it rained AGAIN!! Same thing, everyone huddled together or ran back to their cars. It continued to stop/start for another 20-30 min. until it became time to make a decision about moving the ceremony. I totally panicked and refused to make the decision leaving it up to the DOC and my DH – oh and the internet was down so there was no way of knowing if there was another storm coming!!
Game time – DH made the decision to go ahead and do the ceremony in the planned outdoor location and the rain held off and it was a perfect ceremony! It spritzed randomly during the reception, but in the middle of the wedding speeches, a FREAKING RAINBOW popped up!!! I don’t have them to share with you now, but we have absolutely stunning rainbow pics of us kissing under a RAINBOW!! Totally worth all the anxiety and sadness with the rain. And all the pictures are stunning, our photog said they were one of the best wedding photographs he’s done.
So ladies, no matter what the weather, don’t panic, everything happens for a reason! Good luck!
