My wedding is still a ways away but since your wedding is inside, I'd say just remember too that it's supposed to be good luck when it rains on your wedding day. And I would love to see pictures of you in a dress and yellow rain boots!
i originally wanted an outdoor ceremony but i just knew that i couldn't live through a year of stressing out about the weather, and we didn't really like the rain back-up plan at the venue we were considering with the outdoor option. in the end we went with a place with a huge courtyard that they recently turned into an atrium - best of both worlds!
the forecast will probably change a million times this week, but yellow wellies are definitely a silver lining to a rainy forecast :)
They say its good luck to have rain on your wedding day... keep your positive attitude :) congrats!!
Thanks everyone!! I've always enjoyed the rain--and I'd prefer rain over sweltering heat!
@pb and j: That sounds lovely! We ruled out an outdoor wedding from the get-go, one reason being, I'm as pasty pale as you can get--so being out in the sun would blind half my guests and burn the other. :)
Thanks everyone! :)
TWIN!!! I've been watching like a hawk... right now we're sunny skies and 12 (Don't know what the is in F) A perfect fall day... but we'll see!
Wishing you a happy 9 more days! :)
@JenuineMulder: Yay!! :) Sounds beautiful! Wishing you the same! Have a wonderful day!! :)
@GingerCurls: LOL...I almost argued with you until I saw that you live in NJ.
It's supposed to be good luck to have rain on your Wedding Day. I also saw an episode of "My Fair Wedding" where a bride and ladies got to wear Wellies. It made for really cute pictures!
I was trying to check the forecast before it was even available. I check it every few days.
Our wedding is in just a couple of days...and yes, for the past week or so I have been addicted. Bit annoying when three different weather stations/sites don't agree with one another, but now it's starting to level out. Looks like it will be about 63 and mostly sunny. Keep your chin up, no matter what it's going to be a beautiful day 'cause the two of you are getting hitched!
I'm getting married on the 15th in Philly and they are also calling for rain. After my hysterical crying fit, I decided not to stress over something I can't control. I'm now counting my blessing and remembering that I get to marry my best friend in 8 days, rain or shine. Although I am secretly hoping that the sun does show itself so I can take pictures outside!
Good luck with your weddings ladies!!!
I am getting married on the same day as you and my forecast is calling for rain too. I am a bit dissapointed because our photo shoot is supposed to be at a country club/golf course (outside) after the ceremony. Other than that, everything is inside. I guess it just makes the day harder when its raining. Lets cross our fingers for sunshine!!!!
Rain in upstate NY on the 16th too
Our ceremony was supposed to be outside but that doesn't look like it's going to happen. I'm fine with it inside I just really wanted the outside photos etc. I hope it changes we still have a few days before a decision is made.

So far the forecast is calling for RAIN on the 16th!
But, well, I don't care--'cause I'm getting married! Thankfully, everything takes place inside and not outside. Plus how could I not be a bit excited to wear my bright yellow wellingtons!
Who else is watching the weather channel like a fiend lately?
