Hi Everyone

I haven’t posted much lately but I need some words of encouragement. My wedding is on Saturday and it currently says there is a 60% of rain. I am totally sad because our ceremony was going to be outside next to a wonderful pond and a flower garden. We do have the option of doing inside the reception hall but it won’t be nearly as nice. My fiancé keeps saying that we are getting married and that’s what is most important. I know that logically but I can’t help feeling horribly disappointed. I worked so hard to put together a large beautiful wedding and to have something like this happen is just really upsetting.

I know it will be okay, but I needed to vent.

First, I would think of ways to make a reception hall ceremony beautiful and special for you.

Second, the forecast was 80% chance of rain and thunderstorms on my wedding day. My ceremony was under a gazebo but if it was a bad storm, we'd have to move it inside. It rained and stormed until around noon and stopped in time to clear and dry for my 5pm wedding so it's possible the rain won't even happen during the time frame of your ceremony.

Also, one of the things that cheered me up the most was to talk to my photographer about photo ideas and also to Google "Rainy wedding photos". Seriously, those are some of the most beautiful photos I've seen and I was actually a little sorry I didn't get to use my cute umbrella and rain boots on my wedding day. Hopefully this helps a little.
