Hey Bees 🙂
I have a great outdoor location picked out for my wedding day photos. However, I’m looking for an alternate (indoor!) location in case of rain.
Any rainy day bees willing to share their alternate location site?

Maybe a porch or area with an overhang?
It might require the photographer to stand out in the rain, perhaps under an umbrella held by an assistant.
I did this when I was photographing a rainy day wedding last Summer – worked just fine 🙂

Not rain, but I’m planning in case of snow/blizzard/etc. Our ceremony is in an indoor garden which will be good for pictures.

- Wedding: October 2013 - Dalhousie Castle
We has a little break in the rain and got some photos outside. The rest were back in the chapel, and in other parts of the castle. Next to windows is good to get nice lighting.

@lorelai: That’s actually perfect! Our outdoor location has a porch.. I don’t know why I didn’t think of that!
@Pinkmoon: I bet snow would make for some stunning pictures! But hopefully it’ll be a sunny day and you won’t have to worry about it 🙂
@AnotherMrsBrown: Thank you for the suggestions! There aren’t any castles nearby (I can’t even imagine how stunning your pictures are going to be!!), but the chapel we are getting married at would be a great alternative :).

- Wedding: July 2012 - Baltimore Museum of Industry
I realize this is a “just in case” scenario, but I’ve seen some incredible photos which take advantage of the rain- big umbrellas, bride in cute rain boots, etc.

- Wedding: August 2015 - Country Club
We would like to get first look pictures taken at our favorite park, but have considered the “in case it rains” scenario, these are our few options: Our huge Riverfront library which has an art gallery, and theater built in it, it has beautiful views and little places that wold look very pretty for photographs, also our little museum nearby is a safe option, yet not the best, or maybe pictures of us eating ice cream and what not
at the higher end mall (if all else fails).
I believe that if you have a great photographer, he/she would make any indoor location you choose look stunning.
