Uh- making money– really a job is the only thing I can think of- are you crafty? You could makes things to sell.

“raising” money though- implies asking for money from people which I would say is a huuuge no no.

@MangoLover4Life:  Hi OP, there are tons of ways. Hopefully, one of these can work for you. Of course finding a job, even a part-time one helps with expenses. If you don’t like the traditional setting of an office job, you can always tutor or babysit. I hated riding in DH’s car, and he preferred to drive mine so we sold his. Also, though it’s not an obligation on the parents part to assist, have you checked with both sets of parents to see if they were willing to pitch in some funds?

When you say raise money…it sounds like you want ways to ask others to give you money. This will not go over well on the boards FYI.

The ways to make your wedding less expensive is to have a wedding at a non-meal time, as week day, and cut the guest list. Or you could go to the courthouse and that’s all. You can also DIY a lot of wedding stuff, but know that DIY does not necessarily equal cheaper..

Get a job, sell items, sell plasma, etc. Do you know anyone whose kids you could babysit? Could you clean houses? Walk dogs? we have a friend who walks our dogs/feeds them once in a while. Once or twice a year she either stays at our place or takes our dogs to her place. I know she walks lots of peoples dogs. She work another job very part time, so dog walking/care really helps her life.
