And I don’t mean the type that happen in to a car..
Mine happen in the car
when I’m happy
I just randomly feel the need to cry.. Does anyone else have this problem? Like for example.. This weekend we were at a truck show (we LOVE truck shows).. And all-a-sudden, I’m crying..like sobbing crying.. No clue why.. I was happy! In fact, THRILLED… Please someone tell me this happens to you randomly too!!!

Uh… no. That doesn’t sound normal or healthy to me.

Sometimes you just need to cry! If it becomes something frequent, though, I would maybe go talk to someone. Talking to a counselor can do wonders for those random “blues.”

@Hyperventilate: my doctor tells me that I am fine.. I’ve talked to a psycharist (I can’t spell today).. He told me I may have a touch of depression, but beyond that nothing that he felt that I needed to be medicated for..

@MrsPaperFlowers: If you’re on birth control of any kind, that can play a major part. Either way I would call the doctor, hon. It sounds like you may have some type of vitamin/hormone imbalance that should get investigated further.
EDIT: Just saw your post. I would honestly go to get a second opinion if your PCP told you nothing out of the norm was going on. It just doesn’t seem like something that should happen if you’re totally healthy.

@beedee12: I’ve talked to one… He says I seem to be OK!
@PacificMrs: I stopped b/c back in October.. Although, I don’t recall going through this kind of “swing” persay while I was on it..

@PacificMrs: This was both my PCP and my *old* gyno.. I go to see a new one in a few weeks, maybe they can shed some light

I also agree that a second opinion might be in your best interests.
I was clinically depressed until I was 23 and didn’t randomly break down in tears. I’m no doctor but a “touch of depression” with these symptoms seems very extreme for “A touch” of depression.
But, you know your body so if you trust your doc, carry on I guess. These do not sound like mild depression to me.

@Hyperventilate: I’ll definately ask my new gyno when I see her in a few weeks.. They’re not SUPER common, but they do happen quite randomly.. I think the last one before this weekend was…. right around the wedding… between the wedding and the honeymoon to be exact.

@MrsPaperFlowers: …wow….happy tears at a truck rally…thats different….I can’t say that I suffer from this, but I do have an Aunt that does…she cried at pretty random times, one time because it was Lobster Fest and she was so freakin happy…another time because my nephew was being a dork and playin pony with her….hers are ascribed to a hormonal imbalance and is regulated with hormone cream…maybe your hormones are out a whack?

@Nona99: Could be! It wasn’t really a rally, more a show.. Unless a show and a rally are the same thing? I hope there’s not something more wrong with me o_O

@MrsPaperFlowers: I honestly cry a lot too.. Its not usually happy tears though, lol. Like this past weekend, I was sitting around the kitchen table with my parents and FI I was so happy just to be with them all, but I could feel my self feeling the need to cry more and more… 30 mins later, I was out side girlling up some Steaks and Jumbo shrip and busted out crying.. FI just came and hugged me..
My crying is totally from my BC though, I probably cry for no real reason at least once a week.. And thats a good week lol.. I’m seeing my Doc monday to get me on some new pills.. lol
