I will vaccuum at any time of day or night and have never had a complaint lol. Probably because I live in a college apartment complex.

Normally, I try to get it done by 10pm though because that’s when noise statutes kick in so I figure most people will want quiet. I think 8 is pretty early, I can’t imagine too many people being asleep by then.

I try not to do loud stuff like vacuum later than 9pm or earlier than 11am.

When I lived in an apartment, 10PM was my cut-off for things like vacuuming.  🙂

I think 8 is definitely fine. Though that makes me think maybe I’m pushing it with my 10:00 cut-off. Today I wondered if 7:30 was too early in the morning to blast my getting ready music. I get ridiculously bored while straightening my hair, but certainly don’t want to piss off neighbors.

I actually wouldn’t do it past 7.

Not to be rude, but after a recent dispute with our downstairs neighbors we no longer limit when and when we can’t clean.  I had a friend from out of town come over in the early am and I stayed up almost all night cleaning. I think I vaccumed around midnight.

I wouldn’t do it past 11.

And I feel content with this choice because I live in a house and people mow their yards starting before 7am! So its all fair game!

I’d say your fine as long as it isn’t too late and you don’t make a habit of it.

I, too, live by the 9 p.m. rule! I think it’s still fine as long as he doesn’t have really young children!

I would say 10 PM, which I thought was really early until I saw all of these answers that listed 9 PM or 7 PM. I want to live where you all live! DH is in law school, and we have a great apartment, but most of our neighbors are undergrads who make a lot of noise late into the night. They all make me feel like an old lady, but hey, I need my sleep!
