Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone else out there has that one random gift on their registry that they really want?!  I'm not talking fab. coffee/latte maker cuz who Wouldn't want that!?  (I just found out someone got ours off our amazon registry, score!)  But I'm talking something totally "who cares" but that you're obsessed with??

For me, it's a salad spinner from Target!  And it's still on our registry, no one snactched it up yet!  But I've wanting, no...needing a salad spinner for FOREVERRRR.  I hate making salad without one, because then you have to dry the lettuce in paper towells and it gets all smashed and wilty :(  So I really hope someone gets us the salad spinner!!  haha

My FI REALLY wants a growler holder.

I really want a muffin scoop.

I don't know why we've never just bought these things for ourselves....I mean the muffin scoop is all of $10....

this is crazy...i really want a kitchenaid mixer, and real silverware. most of my family is really well off...and we have almost everything else. or a shark steam cleaner would be nice. but if we don't get it in the registry, we'll just buy it ourselves. more than likely i'll buy my silverware set. :)

Mine was the pink pie plate. I love pink, and I love making pie. I use it all the time, and it makes me so happy to see my pies in such a pretty pie plate!

I really want the micro planer, I mean of course a mixer or blender would be great but that $15 microplaner is so much more exciting to me!

@bohemianbailie:omg I know, no one bought our microplaner yet either!  haha. The worst part is, today I was at Target and I used some of our gift cards to snatch up some stuff that is still on our registry, and I forgot all about the dang salad spinner!! :(

A colander...the one I have now is crappy and I really want a new one. I could just buy it myself but everytime I'm at Bed Bath & Beyond, I always find something else to spend my 20% coupon on.

@nmsoonerbride: What the heck is a growler holder?!

I had two things, both attachments for my Kitchenaid mixer: the ice cream maker/bowl attachment, and the ravioli maker attachment. I've tried the ice cream maker one a few times and I haven't quite got the hang of it, although DH doesn't mind me making the effort and trying out new recipes. The ravioli maker might be getting tried out tonight, we'll see how much energy I have by the end of the day.

We haven't registered yet, but I really, really want an electric food chopper. I hate onion textures, but they taste good in so many foods! I like chopping them up until they're basically soupy, and that's just too hard to do with a knife.

My BFF is looking forward to getting a mini-doughnut maker :).

I want a margarita maker!  Yes, for the margaritas (haha!) but also because those machines make the BEST smoothies and such.  I cannot seem to find a blender that can crush ice as well as a margarita one can and it is so frustrating!

@Swiss Miss to Bee:  That is too funny.  I also REALLY want my salad spinner.  I have one now but it's not great - the one on my registry is beautiful stainless steel and has the push button instead of the crank.  Plus, I imagine it stays where you put it instead of sprialing all over the kitchen if you loosen your grip on it while it is spinning.  Agh.  I want it!

@crayfish: hahah Texas shaped. My FI would LOVE that. When we registered HE had the gun (mistake) and registered for one of those like 100 dollar waffle makers at hotels that you can flip over. When we got home i took it off the registry and put a 30 dollar one on there. he was mad haha

@Swiss Miss to Bee: I put a salad spinner on our registry. It was the only salad spinner in the store (Canada registry options are limited) and it was $45. I thought it was a ridiculous amount for a salad spinner, but people would get the idea that we wanted one and buy a more economical one elsewhere.

Well didn't I look on the registry and see that it was bought. I thought 'that's ridiculous! who spends that on a salad spinner?! When I receive it, I will be very gracious and secretly return it so i can buy a cheaper one and use the gift card for somthing worth $45.'

Then I received it as a shower gift and thought 'OMG. Loves!'

I didn't return the salad spinner. It is probably one of my most favourite shower gifts. lol

I was really excited to receive my towels. I felt like an adult having towels that were coordinated. (not 5 different shades of navy that FI had)

I also was excited about french onion soup bowls.
