@FoxyBride14:  Is it possible that someone bought stuff for themselves at the same time as stuff for you, and you’re not really getting this stuff? Our registry shows we got two juicers because my friend liked it so much that she bought one for herself at the same time.

@FoxyBride14:  you had random things that were on your registry and people bought them before you realized that they were on there? Or did people just randomly buy things not on the registry?

@FoxyBride14:  Which registry was this (store)? I’d like to keep track of whether this happens to me if someone’s signed in and buys stuff for both me and them.

@FoxyBride14:  That happened to me, too, and I was so confused. Random dish towels and other things would just appear on my registry. It’s because the person bought other things for themselves when they bought your actual gift from the registry, and they all rang up as registry items.

That happened to me too with BBB, it means they purchased those during the same transaction as whatever they actually got you from your registry (when the employee input your registry number, I guess it tracks the whole transaction). Whether they bought those items for you or for themself, who knows.

Someone inexplicably got us 3 green towels and 3 blue towels (we only registered for green) so we had to return the blues. We had left the mystery blue towels on the registry; I don’t know if deleting them would have thrown a wrench in it.

@FoxyBride14:  I think that is a myth, we took some items back and they gave a store credit with no other option other than exchange

It’s most likely just because someone bought them for themselves at the same time that something was scanned off your registry. I’d just leave them, what’s the point in removing them? This happened to me off Crate and Barrel AND BB&B

@FoxyBride14:  I just left it on because I was too lazy to really do anything about it haha. It wasn’t causing any harm…I didn’t really see a reason to take them off.
