    What my YA book outline looks like when I am sober: 

    -   J doesn’t go back to breakfast. Instead, she runs off with the amulet to try and find out the truth about it. (And to take it far away from M, who may be influenced by it.) 
     

    What the same book outline looks like 500 words and two glasses of wine later: 

    - The devil shows up

    - BOSS BATTLE
