So I got knocked up when i was 19, we went to the DMV and got our license in tshirt and jeans, and we're just now planning the wedding. Anyone else in this situation? I'll be 25 when we do the wedding, and i guess thats still young to have a wedding!

25 is pretty close to the national average, I think!  You're in plenty of good company. :-)

glad to know i'm not alone!! Anyone giving you hell for it?? Cause there are some days that i just wanna cancel the whole thing! A lot of people ask what the point is if we're already (by law0 married! It's kind of frustrating, but after being married for 4 years now, I feel like I will only get one chance to have a wedding!

I think it's GREAT that you're having the wedding of your dreams, even if it is after the fact!

Have you considered calling it a vow renewal (did you have vows at your first go-round? can you call it a renewal if you didn't do them the first time around? hrmm...) instead to shush the nay-sayers?

never did vows, and everyone knows my opinion on having someone say something negative. if they don't like it they can eff off and not show up, lol. seems a little harsh, but thats just me. its a day that supposed to be fun and if they don't agree, why would they show up you know?

i asked a question on another site, to their etiquette (sp?) person, and they said its an anniversary party......which i don't like that either cause i have the big dress we're doing bridesmaids, the whole nine yards, its a wedding. Just so confusing, i guess there's not really a name for it, lol.

Either or, it should be tons of fun.

I hope that's still considered young lol. I don't have any kids, but I'll be 26 when I get married and I think it's a great age!

I'll be 25, and FI will be 24 with one more month to go until he joins me in the quarter-century club. I think it's a great age :D

nope - don't have any kids - but the whole "married before the wedding thing" yup that's us! course - we've only told a handful of people IRL (in real life) so I'd say about 90% of our guests do NOT know we're already married...congrats on your upcoming wedding, though!
