For us, the parents and grandparents walked in, then the groomsmen rolled it out for the bridesmaids, flower girl, and me!
I had an outdoor wedding and decided not to use an aisle runner. It seemed like too much could go wrong, people tripping on it, wind blowing it, the heel of my shoe going through it...
so i guess my options would be...
- (1) for the bridal party to walk down without the runner and have them put it down before i enter
- (2) for the ringbearer to ride his tricycle on the runner
or
- (3) for the ringbearer to come down the aisle before the bridesmaids so that it could be laid for the girls
decisions, decisions...what would you do?

so when does the aisle runner get rolled out? does the wedding party walk down on the aisle runner or just the bride? i'm sure this can probably be done several ways, but my wedding is in a garden so i had the idea for my ringbearer to ride down the aisle on an old fashioned tricycle, with the ring pillow in the front basket of the bike. i believe he's one of the last to walk down...so how exactly would this work?...
i'm trying to visualize how this all comes together, but it's not clicking. thanks:)
