My friends and I are nerds, so we were discussing differnt (mostly from the fantasy genre) places we think would be awesome to go. So, I thought it might be fun to see!

I thought of most of the big ones, at least from a fantasy/sci fi kind of reference since that is what I am more familar with, but if you can think of more I will try and add them!

Star Wars! Though I really wouldn't mind a trip to any of the ones listed.

Oh I guess I should say. Personally, it is a toss up between Narnia and Middle Earth. Tolkien has influenced all modern fantasy with the world he created, then there is Lewis, who has fascinated many a generation with Narnia (a book which is close friend JRR told him would never do well and he should stick to his other adult fiction!)

    Narnia and Middle Earth.

But have any of you seen the movie THE 10TH KINGDOM?? Oh my gosh! That was the most fascinating movie(tv movie) I have seen! If you dont work this weekend, rent it and watch it. Trust me, its such a trip. I am hoping they make the sequel with the same characters one of these days!

I would visit that land too.

I voted Wonderland because it seems so pointlessly fun.

Not on this list: Springfield (Simpsons)  Miami (So I could see my Golden Girls)

@Earlybride:  Haha. I own that movie on VHS!! I'm surprised someone else has heard of it!!

Hogwarts wins out #1 but Middle Earth comes in a pretty close 2nd.

nerd-alert- I'd pick Pern from Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern series.

more socially acceptable choice- LOTR or Hogwarts

@bookworm88: Totally didn't think of that one! I haven't read them but my sister and Dad both have all of them. The guy who wrote Eragorn (the dragon books) was the son of her publishers... and people wonder why she wrote good reviews of it??

You know what, I'm going to throw out another wildcard and pick Sevenwaters from Juliet Marillier's Sevenwaters series instead of Hogwarts, now that I've thought about it.

My top choice would definitely be the Star Trek universe! :) But second choice may be Middle Earth. I just don't know how I feel about the lack of indoor plumbing.

Middle Earth for SURE. I am almost small enough to be a hobbit so I would be extremely happy being in their company.

@jo.lee:  I totally hadn't thought about their plumbing situation.... hmmm.... ;)

Hogwarts would be awesome, but I'd also like to visit the Enchanted Forest from the series of the same name by Patricia C. Wrede, Rirhath B and Alaalu from the Young Wizards books by Diane Duane, the labyrinth in Labyrinth, and the forest in Legend.

Oh and I wouldn't mind travelling around on Serenity one bit either.
