What a jerk! The numbers indicate what unit/apartment they belong to for a reason! It is not public parking!

That’s happen to me too. Ugh, it totally sucks, especially when it’s cold and/or snowy out.

@sillysillybee:  While that is probably not the best way to deal with it, I can certainly understand why you did! Although he will gather from your note that it is the owner of the parking spot who wrote it, if he is as much of a jerk as he sounds, he might come to your door to shout at you for no good reason..

@sillysillybee:  ugh! That would make me so mad, too bad the parking authority didn’t tow him. There is a condo for sale in our building and they have open houses every Sunday…without fail realtors and their clients park in the only 2 handicapped spaces in our building during every open house! (They do not have handicapped placards, they are just too lazy to park a few feet away in the ample street parking). not the same as your situation, but it drives me crazy when people think they are above the rules and park in spaces they know they don’t belong in!

@sillysillybee:  Haha my temper gets riled quickly too. Although I wouldn’t have the guts to confront this person face to face!

Ugh!  That happened to me once and someone was sitting in the car.  I asked her nicely to move, and she said she needed it for just a little while.  Where the hell was I supposed to park in the meantime?

There were issues with gang members though, and it had happened to multiple people but no one really wanted to do much for fear that the gang would start messing with cars.

FH once parked my car in the wrong space in my apartment building because he wasn’t used to driving it and he thought my space was one floor lower than it actually was.  I drive a battered old car because that’s all I can afford, and I’m sure I have accidentally left the window open before, and I’m not a stoner.  I get that it would have been very annoying for you, but it seems that a lot of judgement is being piled on someone who could have made an honest mistake.

@sillysillybee:  I was just about to say “put it in neutral and push it out” before I read the end of your post. Karma will get him one day!

@sillysillybee:  Given that it is a clunker, the window is wide open and it is parked illegally is there a chance that it might be a dumped stolen car?
