Just tell them all to pick a “dark red” color. Go pick out a swatch from Jo-ann’s fabric stores that you like and tell them to get as close to this shade as possible

Since you obviously have so many clashing tastes and you are wary of their budget (applause here!), if they are close to that shade, they’ll all look great and individualistic, yet very much part of the bridal party.

Here is an alfred angelo dress in "claret" which looks like a deep red.

ok, so i’m not sure if this will be dark enough, but i think it fits the bill in regards to covering the back, not too revealing in the front and 1/2 the price of the $300 jenny yoo! of course, you can never really tell what the actual color is until you get the fabric. good luck!

@jdubz- i love the dress!! of course, this year i developed a relationship with ruffled clothing!

but i don’t think it’s too busy- it’s all one color, no weird patterns…i would be thrilled to have this as my bm dress- it’s totally re-wearable. what do your bm’s find distracting? the ruffles? maybe they are one of the few who do not like them, perhaps? πŸ™‚

good luck! i got lucky and found my bm dresses at anthropologie- i looked there for you too but didn’t see anything in your color scheme. have you checked dillards, macys or ann taylor?

Oooh I love that ruffled dress!!! Go with that….. at some point you gotta just tell ’em, ‘this is it. put it on.’ and unless it seriously looks freaky on someone, they’ll just have to deal. πŸ™‚

oh, one more thing – @krissycake — how was your experience with gojane? I’ve been looking at some stuff on their site, but never heard of them until recently and am curious to hear feedback before buying online πŸ™‚

@jdubz- so glad and so happy that everyone loves their dress! i went somewhat in the opposite direction of you – one of the bm’s has a large tattoo on her shoulder and i got a dress that would showcase it- my grandma may be raising her eyebrows at that one! πŸ™‚

Have you thought of using Aria?  I know they come in a TON of colors and I think they have quite a few styles as well.

I am having a same problem.  But with weight and boobs.  I’ve got a really skinny girl with boobs and then a big girl with boobs.  The same dress will look good on one and not the other.  So I’ve decided to pick the color and let them go get what they like.
