Rant:… Yes, I'm getting married. NO, I don't have a diet plan!

@MrsNewDay:  One of my sisters in law is a right cunt. She calls me fat on a regular basis, not just for the wedding. No one else I know has ever commented on my weight or asked me inappropriate questions like this. I’d certainly be giving a sharp, biting response if they did.

@MrsNewDay:  Exactly. Trust me, if I have gained weight then I am the first to know it. Given I live in my own skin 24/7, I’m pretty sure I’d be the expert on whether or not my clothes fit or I feel like a lump. Having people be “helpful” and point it out just doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me. Seems like just another excuse to be rude. If I didn’t ask for your opinion, chances are I don’t want it.

If you are so concerned about me, try directing some of that concern back to yourself and learn to be a civilized person 😛

@MrsPanda99:  WHAT. Please tell me she lives in Boston so I can march myself over and dropkick her in the vag.

Also, I had TONS of people asking me about weight loss plans before the wedding… And I was a size 6. Well, I didn’t have plans until the 93872nd person asked me! Then I wound up a size 2…

This might be odd, but I have never ever been asked that question and I have been engaged for near 14 months.  Maybe I am just lucky.

@BrandNewBride:  She is a mean and terrible bully. She used to be a size 18+ and now is like a size 0000 due to her ED (which she happily passes along to my niece). You think she would remember what it was like to not be at your ideal weight. Oh, I hate that woman. I wish my brother had better taste and did what I said 😛

People are so rude. I never comment on anyone’s weight.

I feel lucky that I’ve only gotten those remarks from my mom and sister (and they’ve made comments about my weight before I got engaged, so not too surprising).

I’m sorry you’re going through this 🙁 I’ve been getting comments about dieting or my weight ever since we anounced that we were engaged. I’ve had people ask me if I plan(ned) to lose weight and I’ve had people who declare that it’s so important to watch my weight so that I fit into my dress. I don’t understand why people feel it’s okay to shove their noses in to this area of “wedding planning” and etiquette.

@MrsNewDay:  My niece will tell me she wants a protein bar for dinner like her mom. She asks if she should go to the gym and if she looks fat. She’s 6. I tell her she eats food or else she doesn’t get to play with my puppy.

My sister in law just had twins and she is still smaller than me…which she loves to point out. I started a whole thread about her before, lol: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/my-sil-just-called-me-fat-rant/page/2#axzz2cohRlgD6 Whatever, I just try my best to ignore her.

@MrsPanda99:  Love this picture!

She passed the ED onto her daughter!? What the hell?
