Hi Bees! I am continuing my wedding dress search and as always, I need your help. I have a couple I like but nothing is quite right. Here are my favorites so far:
1. Maggie Mirabella
I loved this dress when I first tried it on but it doesn’t photograph as pretty as it is. I am also not sure if the assymmetrical beading is flattering.
2. Mori Lee
I love the peachy-gold color of this dress. It’s also well below my budget. However, I started to worry that it looked cheaper than the others I’ve tried. It comes with a belt but they couldn’t find it.
With the money I would save on dress #2, I could switch the back to a corset for a tighter fit (like the first dress) and possibly soften the sweethear neckline.

I would choose a dress that always photographs good! Think of ur wedding photos!

I think the first one is pretty and photographs well! My vote is for #1 or 3- #2 reminds me of a prom dress.

Thanks for your input everyone!

#1 is a really pretty dress, but perhaps it doesn’t fit you properly? What about changing the neckline of #1 to make it slightly more sweetheart? Also, I think the waist needs to be nipped in a bit more. If you’re not fond of the asymmetrical skirt, maybe you can have it altered to be a true trumpet/modified mermaid?
I like the second dress but I agree with others who say it looks a little like a prom dress. The sweetheart is definitely too severe too.

@HobbyLobbyist: lol @ frankendress! i think the mori lee is adorable. i love the peach and the sweetheart neckline but i do agree that it should be softer just a bit.

The Mori Lee doesn’t look cheap at all, it’s a beautiful dress! I think it looks great on you! Also, I prefer symmetrical dresses.

Dress two is stunning it just made my jaw drop, it does not look cheap at all! It’s actually giving me dress envy 🙂

I think if dress #2 was more fitted like Frankendress you would have the best of both worlds! I <3 the peach color. So soft and pretty!

The Mori Lee! Its gorgeous, and I would leave the neckline as it is.

The first dress is just so beautiful and the bottom is so unique. But go with what you love and what feels right for you and your budget!!!

Frankendress all the way! Though you don’t really need a corset, I’ve yet to see a bride who didn’t look awesome in a dress with boning.
Yeah, I suppose I get the “prom” thing, but when you’ve modified the neckline a bit and put on a veil, you’ll be as bride as can be!
I agree with you about the asymetrical beading on the first one, where the skirt joins the bodice. It looks odd, and flares out where you don’t want it to.

I LOVE the Mori Lee just the way it is! Beautiful.
