Never heard of this, but I am having 4 bridesmaids and we are expecting about 120 guests.
If I remember correctly, the ratio should be one attendant per 25-50 guests. So I think 7 would be fine. I've been to weddings with 7 bridesmaids and 125 guests... that was a bit more lopsided.
That sounds abut right. My coworker is having a wedding that size with the same number of attendants.
I've never heard of this, but am happy to discover that our plans fit. :) Overall, the ratio is a guideline and, as such, is flexible. If you want 7, go for it!

I read somewhere that there is a suggested ratio between # of guests and wedding party size. Has anyone else seen that before? Do you remember what it was?
We're expecting about 250 guests....and I am considering having 7 bridesmaids. Is that too many?
Thanks!
