not kidding either….strawberry frosting with sprinkles. (office kitchen score)
7.5 weeks til the wedding and i have to go to the west coast for work for 3 of those weeks. stressed to the max. hardly sleeping at all anymore, typical sleep pattern is 1:30am to 6:30am. Certainly not enough to function well. I’m crabby, tired, and been getting a lot of headaches–gee go figure.
how are all the other bees handling the stress while keeping their diet and general well-being in check? i’m not holding up well…..I am probably going to get some Benadryl on the way home tonight just so I can get a decent nights sleep…. please help!

I’m not. I did good working out for about 2 months. Now the stress is killing me so I barely sleep (started taking slepeing pills so I can fall asleep by about 1 am) and have been living off of fast food and cupcakes. I have a major sweet tooth that gets worse when I am stressed and we haven’t had time to go grocrey shopping. *sigh*
I broke down yesterday and bought diet pills at GNC. The guy was super helpful and helped me find things that wouldnt make me shake like a crack addict. I always swore I wouldn’t be one of those brides.. but at this point I am desperate to fit into my dress!

I know I sound crazy, but work a little exercise into your day. Seriously, a 20-30 minute walk or jog will help with the stress levels and sleep issues. I took nearly two weeks off from regular exercise and I was sleeping worse and still felt tired all the time.
Your email is making me crave a donut though. And that’s after I had a bagel for breakfast.

I wish I had the motivation to exercise 20-30 mins a day. I commute an hour each way, get home by 5/5:30 and by the time I eat, change clothes, take the dog out, chat with FI, its already 7:00 and by then we’re either watching a movie or we’re on our laptops. There is a gym at work but the idea of getting all sweaty during the day and lugging my gym bag to/from work just seems like a pain (yes, I am THAT lazy). The only exercise I get is a mile walk each day, 1/2 mile from car to my buildign and 1/2 mile back to the car…..

@mudratdetector: Have you thought about going to the gym right after work? I go to one that is on my way home from work (costs $10 a month!) and just get it done. If I go home first, then I have no motivation to leave again. I pack my gym bag the night before and just leave it in my car. It’s tough at first, but its the only time that works for me.

Or use the time when you walk the dog to jog a little bit, or extend the walk and do some power walking!

I’d definitely try to extend the dog walk! From past experience it is easier to do something you’re already doing, rather than trying to add a completely new routine. And yes, there’s something about packing gym clothes, figuring out how to wash up afterward, etc. that is so mentally challenging. Since the dog needs taking out, just treat him/her and go for a little stroll around the neighborhood!
Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE a good lazy evening on the couch with my laptop. But I’ve realized that it just makes me feel more sluggish and tired, even if I’m supposedly “getting rest” after a long day.

I hardly sleep but in regards to my fitness plan I am on point. Here are a few tips dont eat after a certain time. Stop drinking soda, juice, diet drinks only water and tea (no sugar) and try to work out. You can do it 🙂

@Mrs.Oat: Your points are so true. I’m trying to work on getting out more – if I’m tired when I go out, I’m often energized when I return. Funny how that works.

I get up at 5.15 every morning to get an hour exercise in everyday.
