blt982:  This has happened to me a few times now! The other day, I came home from work and as I was fumbling for the house keys I heard him inside on the phone. When I was opening the door I heard him say “I’ve got to go, bye” and immediately thought he must be planning the proposal. Every now and then he writes me cute letters as well and every time now I’m thinking this could be the proposal letter.. but he has done this for years lol.

When you know it’s coming it’s very hard not to read into things.  In the waiting phase our minds seem to be able to connect just about ANYTHING to a possible proposal.  I know I’ll look back and laugh at how silly my mind has been, but for right now I look for any and every possible clue.

My guilty admission: My SO and I have picked out my setting and I know there are two local stores that have it – one set with a 1ct stone ready to go that is my size.  I have no idea if SO is buying that one or ordering one so he can pick his own stone.  I check the store’s website at least 10 times a day to see if it’s marked as sold yet.  Imagine how I will read into seeing it marked as “sold”?  My mind will go into over drive for sure ; )

I am soooo there. I am pretty convinced it could happen this weekend. I have been putting all of the “clues” together and it just seems like it HAS to be it! lol I don’t know really… we could still be way out from it happening.  Regardless I am going to try my best to just go with the flow and enjoy our trip. If it does happen, it’s just a bonus.

blt982:  I do this all the time! If we go to a baseball game, or to the beach, or to dinner, I always have to talk myself out of thinking he’s going to propose that night. Did that this morning, actually!

Oh, I feel you! My SO took a second job to help pay for a ring. He gets paid in two lump sums over the course of 4 months. He said was going to propose this year so I’m thinking it will be sometime in December once he has been fully paid. In the meantime, I’m on pins and needles! I can’t help but wonder what he’s planning……
