I had two scripture readings (one Old Testament, one New Testament) and a poem. Our ceremony was about 30 minutes too.
It's up to you how many readings/songs/quotes/poems/etc you want during your ceremony. If you have an officiant helping with the ceremony, they will most likely have designated places where you can or can not include readings of your choice.
I think you can do a reading at the beginning when they talk about marriage, you could do one between the vows and the rings, after the ring exchange, etc. Talk to your officiant and they will help guide you if you aren't sure, or look at sample ceremonies for ideas.

Hi everyone,
I was looking into readings for our wedding and was wondering how many are the norm? I was thinking 2 and then a short bible verse. I'm just not sure if 3 is too much. Our ceremony is non-demoniational Christian so I believe it's typically 30 minutes.
